Earlier this month, we were honored to attend the 25th annual Television Critics Association Awards, where we were humbled and proud to be nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming (for the 2nd straight year!)

And to our surprise and amazement, we WON!

What a wonderful honor. The TCA awards has a 25 year history of recognizing truly great and groundbreaking TV shows, and we were nominated alongside great shows like Sid the Science Kid and The Electric Company. Those TV Critics sure have good taste!

PINK HOBO Geek Art Gallery in Minneapolis, MN (home of Gabba animators PUNY) is the place to see, for the FIRST TIME ANYWHERE, EVER, the artwork that goes into the creation of Yo Gabba Gabba!

The exhibit features the work of the celebrated artists and designers that have contributed to the TV show, including creators Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, former Paul Frank designer Parker Jacobs, and a wide array of other talented contributing artists.

So waaay back in the day, before DJ Lance Rock lived in Gabbaland, he grew up in a little town we like to call St. Louis.

And now DJ Lance is so famous, that the King of all Saint Louis has asked him to lend his voice to the audio tour of the brand spankin' new CityGarden art and sculpture park, now open in downtown Saint Louie!!

DJ Lance is one of the "local notables" (along with actors Jon Hamm and Jenna Fischer, and sports stars Kurt Warner and Ozzie Smith) who give free audio tours on your cell phone and tell you all about the sculptures and art in the park.

ANOTHER RANDOM GABBA SIGHTING: Yo Gabba Gabba's flowery friend and resident green thumb, FOOFA, was seen yesterday at a local fitness club in Sun Valley, California, working out with a group of friends in a YOGA-ROBICS class.

Yoga-Robics is the new rage in fitness workouts in Southern California, increasing in popularity lately, due to the number of popular celebrities that use Yoga-Robics to get in movie star shape! The workout has been especially popular with new mothers and pre-schooler moms, and as we can see from this photo, it's gaining pull with pre-school monsters too!!

After the sweaty 2 hour class, Foofa had this to say: "I love working out and dancing to music! Listening and dancing to music is .....AWESOME!!"

And then in a flash, after a quick towel off, Foofa was whisked away in a waiting town car to a celebrity miniature golf/cage fight!

Wow, that Foofa really knows how to get around!!

PLEX SHOPPING FOR LEMONS... IN FLORIDA!

ANOTHER RANDOM GABBA SIGHTING: Plex the Magic Robot from the hit televsion series Yo Gabba Gabba! was seen just yesterday, in Jacksonville, Florida, of all places, shopping for what looks like a bargain deal on a USED CAR!!

It's seems that yellow 'Lemon' color has really had an effect on the world's most magic of robots. Our on-the-street Gabba news team had a hard time getting too close to Plex, but from a distance it looked like the robot had his eye on a 1992 Cutlass Sierra!! Wow! Talk about a smooth operator!

As far as we know, no deals were made, but there were a handful of car salesmen showing Plex their own Dancey Dance moves, almost as if auditioning for a spot on the show!! We had to chuckle when one of the salesmen slipped and then pretended that was a move in the dance! Classic!

While we still don't know if Plex has made his final decision, we all have our fingers crossed that he makes the right choice! Personally, this writer hopes he chooses a used hybrid vehicle so that Plex can help save the world before the ice caps melt and we all live under water.

Go Green, big Yellow Fellow! Go Green!

TOODEE SPOTTED HAILING CAB IN NYC!!

RANDOM GABBA SIGHTING: The world's most famous blue cat-dragon, TOODEE, was seen stepping out in style last week in the world's most famous city, NEW YORK CITY. Here she is pictured clearly hailing a cab from what looks like to be the corner of Broadway and Second uptown Manhattan.

We can clearly see the cab in the photo slamming on his brakes to get right over and pick up this most plushy of pals! The always elusive Toodee, who is known for going out of her way to dodge press and the paparazzi that constantly hound her, was captured here in a rare and maybe not so glamorous moment. Our stealthy Photographer team was waiting outside her Hotel for many hours before this rare moment was finally immortalized on digital film!

Toodee's agent was unavailable for comment, but insiders close to the Toodee team asked that we try to be respectful and treat her with the same consideration we would show other top international celebs. All we had to say was, "YEAH RIGHT!" As if we don't want to get as many photos as we can of this heat seeking missile of a rising star.

Toodee looked great and was even reported to be meeting top celeb Martin Lawrence for pizza at Sbarros!! WOW! What a class act!! So look out Toodee! We'll be right on your tail!!

MUNO SPOTTED AT GROCERY STORE

RANDOM GABBA SIGHTING: Muno, our favorite red and lovable cyclops, was seen last week shopping at a local grocery market near Baltimore, Maryland. What is not certain is why Muno was in Baltimore or what exactly he was buying.

From the look of things, he must be purchasing some smaller items like some candy or maybe some sugarless gum. People here in the office at Yo Gabba Gabba HQ were thinking that maybe he was looking for some Mike and Ike's hard candies, because they are inexpensive, yet at the same time, delicious.

Actually, we're hoping he was buying an apple or a banana. We hear tooth-care prices will be going through the roof!!

While it still remains a mystery where Muno got the money, many are speculating that Muno and the other Gabbafriends may now be receiving a weekly allowance from DJ Lance Rock, due to the immense popularity of the show. We are proud of Muno that he isn't afraid to shop for himself and is also out stimulating the economy in these troubled economic times!! Way to go MUNO!!

Where will we see Muno next? We will just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed it isn't at the dentist!

BROBEE GOES TO THE DMV

RANDOM GABBA SIGHTING: Insider cameras were able to snap this very rare photo of Brobee, the world's most beloved green striped monster, standing in a VERY long line at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Pacoima, California the other day. When asked what he was doing, Brobee stated for the record that he was waiting to renew his now expired driver's license.

He was visibly upset and had a frowny face, as did most of the other people toiling away in what seemed to be an endless queue. While most of our 'on the street crew' had no idea Brobee even had a driver's license, much less the ability to actually drive, we were most puzzled as to why an international celebrity like Brobee would have to wait in such a long line.

Brobee had this to say, "It's my own fault, I should have done it by mail...or at least made an appointment....this is no fun!! I don't think I like the DMV!"

We hear you Brobee! We don't think anyone has had a pleasant experience at the DMV since the late 1950's.

While we didn't wait around with Brobee to see how things went, we did speculate that if the legal driving age in California is 16 then Brobee must be at least that age or older. Our legal analysis team had this to say, "Brobee very may well be a teenager ...UNLESS there is a specific provision in the state law that makes an exception for red horned fuzzy monsters... we'll get back to you on that."

We will update you as soon as we know! Heaven forbid Brobee is illegally driving around with an expired license!!!

This spectacular event will tour Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne from Friday 15 May – Saturday 30 May. The show will also feature several top-secret Australian celebrity guests performing their favourite 'Dancey Dance', plus many hit songs from the series, including "Party in My Tummy" and "Get The Sillies Out".

In “New Friends,” Jack rides into Gabbaland on his mini-bike and runs out of gas. Lost and scared, Black meets each of the Gabba characters, who become his friends and refuel the mini-bike so he can head home. Along the way he sings, dons DJ Lance’s orange jumpsuit and teaches the characters and the viewers at home a new Dancey Dance called the “Disco Roll.”

But wait, there's more! New friends Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) and Paul Scheer (Human Giant) also make an appearance to tell the “Knock-Knock Joke of the Day”.

A new episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! called “Clean” premieres this Friday Feb 27th and guest stars Rachel Dratch, Chromeo, and Biz Markie!

The Gabba gang learns the importance of cleaning up. They all play with toys and are reminded to clean up when they’re finished. They learn to wash their hands, brush their teeth and sing a fun bath time song playing with bath toys. Musical guests Chromeo perform “Nice and Clean.” Other featured songs include: “Tiny Ugly Germs,” “Bath Time” and “Magic Shampoo.” In this episode Rachel Dratch teaches a “Dancey Dance,” Chromeo performs, and Biz Markie teaches his “Biz’s Beat of the Day.”

Yo Gabba Gabba! fans who attended the New York Comic Con in New York City this weekend were in for a treat. W!ldbrain insiders had panel discussion where they talked about some new W!ldbrain projects and spilled the beans on the future of Yo Gabba Gabba. They also showed a montage video with Season 2 treats, including shots with guest stars Jack Black, Amy Sedaris, Sugarland, The Roots, and Supernova.

-The biggest news is that they confirmed the rumor of the Yo Gabba Gabba! Feature Film. The movie won't be out soon (it takes a long time to make a movie) but they said they're "hoping that they'll be able to pack the movie with celebrity cameos as they do on the show."

-Two new DVDs are set to be released this year.

-There will be more Yo Gabba Gabba toys!

-Hopefully Yo Gabba Gabba! comic books and an online comic maker game are in the works.

-Yo Gabba Gabba will get its own Youtube channel for official and behind the scenes videos.

Bafta Children's Award Nomination

We've just learned that the British Academy of Film and Television Arts has nominated Yo Gabba Gabba for a EA British Academy Children's Award in the International category. BAFTA awards a very cool prize for people who love dressing up, it's a golden metal mask. The award ceremony will take place on November 30th in London, England. Wish us luck.

Yo Gabba Gabba airs daily in the UK and the Nick Jr. UK site has it's own Yo Gabba Gabba page with some games we really like. If you're used to watching Yo Gabba Gabba in the US or Canada, have fun listening to it in The Queen's English.
